Join us as we explore More Mesa in Goleta. More Mesa is an undeveloped bluff-top mesa that rests 120 feet above the ocean, with panoramic views from the Santa Ynez Mountains to the Channel Islands. Rare birds, including kites, harriers and merlins, make their home on the Mesa. This is a 2.8 mile loop with little elevation gain.

Dogs on leash are welcome. No need to register, just show up. Bring water and sunscreen, there is no shade. We will go to Lighthouse Coffee in the Turnpike Shopping Center, 199 S Turnpike Rd #101, Goleta, CA 93111, afterwards for coffee and treats.

DIRECTIONS: From Hollister (either direction) turn toward the water at the light at Puente Dr. (left if you are going west, right if you are going east). Puente Dr. becomes Viega Dr. Park on Viega Dr. close to Mockingbird Lane. There's no parking on Mockingbird Lane, so walk up the Mockingbird Lane hill from Viega Dr. to the trailhead (or get dropped off at the top of Mockingbird Lane.) Look for the Newcomer signs.
