Gaviota Wind Caves Hike

Ocean View hike to the Gaviota sandstone wind caves and tunnels. We will hike to the rock formations and an overlook with  great views of the ocean and mountains.  

There are a few short, steep spots where you may want hiking poles.

The hike is moderate, 4 miles round trip, and has 500 feet of elevation gain.  Some wildflowers are still out.

Meet at Sears Auto Center parking lot to carpool at 7:45AM or the trailhead at 8:30AM.

Directions to the Trailhead:

Take 101 north to Gaviota State Park. Make a left turn off of 101 at Gaviota Beach Rd.

After a quarter of mile, turn right onto Hollister Ranch Rd before the state park entrance.

Go 500ft, up a slight hill.

Trailhead is on your right. Parking on both sides of the road.
